Remember to breath

This fits with the theame I've been following during my preparation for my internship.
As I make my packing arrangements and finish up anything I need to finish. Fundraising is slow at the moment, I'm currently waiting for some cheques to arrive in the mail.  We've had snow in Alberta putting a small set back for highway clean up. So really hoping for some sun.
I find myself reminding myself to breath, as with all the whirl wind of stufff going it's easy to forget to take a moment to just breath. Time is running down as the internship approaches fast.

What's new

Fundraising poster is officially finished and going up on the notice board at the back of my church tomorrow. I am currently at $775 funds raised, I received a really generous donation from the CWL- Catholic Women's League.  Paper work was signed for the highway clean up,which will aid a portion of my fundraising, which my family will be helping me with.
My brothers were all him for their Easter break this week, so thoughts of fundraising and the internship were put on hold to enjoy Easter and family time.
The next while I will be busy with fundraising, finishing off check lists and getting into full swing with my packing.  The next couple weeks will fly by fast and before we know it the internship will be starting.

Update

April, is well underway. I am occupied with making lists for packing and other preparations. Yesterday, I had an over the phone update session, to go over where I am in fundraising, ideas and plans to further fundraise.  The status of the rental place I will be staying at. I now have the official address, and will be hearing from the landowners in the next week or so. Myself, and at least 3 other interns, will be living in a rented out, fully furnished basement. A whole new experience as I only have brothers, so I get to live with other gals.   I'll be able to get settled in within a couple days before the internship starts depending on when I leave home.

We are expected to be at the office by 9am, for the first day of the internship. Which is the 8th of May.

As of todays date I have so far raised $420.  Since it is Holy week announcements at Church have been cut back, thus I won't be making any announcements again till after Easter. Meanwhile, I am starting to put together a poster board/display to set up in the back of the church after Easter.  Trying to catch people to talk one on one about my internship and give information is a little tricky, which is another reason to create a poster board, with more information thats easily assessable for everyone.

Today, My official introduction went up on CCBR's  Blog see link below to assess their post.
You can also read introductions for some of the other interns whom I will be working with this summer as well as the others who will be in the Ontario/Toronto internship.

April

How does one prepare for the journey that lies ahead when one does not know what the future will hold?

It takes only a step to move in any directions. Often we have days where we will put one front in the other just waiting for the day to be over others we never want it to come to an end.

March has come to a close bringing forth this new month. April is to be filled with preparation and fundraising.  Little steps at a time will get us where we are going just as any  bigger steps would. One takes a bit more time then the other.

Fundraising is already underway, and there is still more to do.  Fundraising takes leg work as well as reaching out to people.  Being able to invite another person to join me in supporting pro-life and my internship is a really wonderful thing. Talking to people who I wouldn't necessarily talk to in other circumstances and having the chance to meet and interact with new people is exciting. I am looking forward to meeting the people who will be following my journey who will also be apart of it. Weather it be from their encouragement, prayers, and support or a small donation. It all makes a difference and is another step in the right direction.
