Welcome

Hello and welcome to the pro-life journey,
I am spending my summer doing pro-life work with CCBR;Canadian Center For Bio-Ethical Reform.  I will be doing life chains, marches, demonstrations, and outreach much more.  CCBR is making a difference, change doesn't happen over night it takes time, time built up of small moments of impact. Changing the hearts and minds of the people in this world. CCBR can't do this on their own and neither can I. I invite you to join us, get involved in making a greater impact on the lives of those who need a voice.

This day and age we are bombarded with information. Where everything is at our fingertips. With such an amount of information being thrown at us, how do we know what's really happening in the world?  People don't want to know the dirty ugly truths of the world, because if they looked truth in the eye they wouldn't like what looks back at them. When I look at the world around me I see beauty and brokenness, people of all ages searching, or feeling inadequate and wanting more. Looking for love and trying to fit in the mold society says they need to in order to be accepted or even loveable. Society says we need to think and feel one way. A society that says it's okay to abort incident babies, saying it's just a lump of cells.  But that's a lie, Because every life matters, no matter how a life may be conceived it matters and it's not just a lump of cells. Lives of children snatched before they even have a chance to open there eyes in this world. Where will it end?
I'm a practicing Catholic, but that doesn't mean I get to mass every week or that I'm perfect,  it means I am working at it and learning.   Pro-life and abortion are not just a Catholic or Christian issue. It's an everybody issue. If you kill someone it doesn't matter what your religion you'll go to Jail for it. Why is it than that abortion is acceptable, when it's the killing of innocents?
The work CCBR is doing is important, it's not something everyone is confident or comfortable doing. I want change, I want to make abortion unthinkable.
I invite you to join me as I travel the path ahead.

God Bless

Breathe by Johnny Diaz

Here's the song Breathe I mentioned earlier. I hope it helps you remember that it's okay to just take a moment to breath. I also hope it will inspire you as it has me.

The beginning

The purpose of this blog is to share with you the journey  I am about to begin. The
I am preparing to embark on is a summer internship. After months of searching and decernment, I finally found a direction to go. Latly after trying to apply for several things such as Net Canada and Net Ireland, to be not accepted was a disappointment.  But I've learned from those moments.  Trying to figure out what I am supposed to do with my life and what God's purpose is for me has its challenges.  Having faith and trusting that no mater what he is with me can be hard.

I have been searching, seeking my purpose or the next step, because I don't know what I want to do, nor do I know where God's calling me to be or do. But I trust I'll know when the time is right.

On the first of  March, a friend of mine shared a  post with a  link for a summer internship with CCBR - Canadian center for Bio- Ethical Reform.  He captioned it "Just do it".  My friend had previously completed an internship with the same group, and I have heard good things about CCBR.

I said "what the heck, why not?" Aloud at the kitchen table. It took me four tries to fill out the application as my iPad really didn't like it. It kept erasing all my answers causing me to start over.  But in the end I was to stubborn to give up. For that I am glad.   I applied the first of March, which was also the deadline for applicants.

I heard back the second of March, to arrange for an interview over the phone. I was surprised to   hear back the very next day and thought I'd have to wait a lot longer.  I had the interview on the fourth of March. The interview went well, the interview itself was fairly laid back, and informal.  I was nervous before hand, but once the interview started I was just excited. My mom poke her head in my room and reminded me to breath. Which goes hand in hand with the song Breath by Jonny Diaz which has been my song of inspiration the last while. It's amazing what pausing to just breath can do.
Yesterday I received an email offering me a position in the summer internship program in Calgary. I start the 8th of May, and finish the 25th of August.  I have to fundraise 3,000 which will go toward my food, and rent. I'll live in a rental place with the other women doing the internship.  The money will also cover any other expenses.
I have some paperwork to fill out,and there will be other things to go over a as I go along. But other wise it's happening. I'd really appreciate prayers as I get ready to embark on this adventure/ journey, I'm really excited to be doing pro-life work.

I'll be doing life chains, descussions, raising awareness, going door to door, highway chains. I'll also be going to university's to do talks etc. And so much more. I'll be gaining experiences as well as being equipped and trained.  So I invite you to follow me as I take this keep of faith. Join me as I spend my summer doing something truly worth it.
